After his missive on the importance of constructing buildings, an idea I wholeheartedly agree with, I put the following data into 8kbo's processor and asked heir to produce a poem.
Topic: Poetic Mathematics
Title: New Laws and Fields
First Five Lines:
Don't ask me the same question over and over again
Like the derivatives of Pi
You stammer on, searching for proof
Positive or negative assertions
be damned apart from
the uncertainty principle
I don't know the time, I don't know the date
My fellow scientists, do you have any idea what you're doing?
The rules didn't make sense from the start
But we knew that if we followed them carefully, our results could be trusted
No more than a few degrees of separation between waves and particles
Orbits and orbital velocities, The planets in our solar system.
This is not what my father had led me to believe.
He told me that there was an order to the universe.
A way for each thing to find it's place.
In this disorder, he could not find his place.
He wandered through fields of math in search of patterns. It seemed like every answer just begat more questions.
That's when he met the man who would change his life forever.
He'd found the answer to every question he had ever asked.
He told my father that in order to find the truth,
You must look for it in the most unlikely places.
This man had loved math as a child.
His father was an officer in their local military branch.
In his father's wake, he'd gone on to become a mathematician. When asked about his education, he replied with a smirk:
"A good mathematician knows not only how to solve problems but also how to create them."
